Instructor and Assessors - In-Service Clinics 6/29/2008 in Houston, TX

Assessors and instructors came together the last weekend in June for the annual Assessor/Instructor inservice. Dr. Sam Cho from Pennsylvania was our guest speaker for both the in-service and an Advanced Referee clinic held on Saturday. Our thanks to the national office and to Dr. Cho for his time spent with South Texas referees, instructors, and assessors.

2009 Registration Process

The 2009 registration process was discussed with all attendees. Registration is now available on the www.stsr.org website. For recertifications, referee grades 09-07 and all Emeritus levels may now attend a general recertification clinic. State referees are still expected to attend the state recertification in November. Grades 07s and Emeritus should pay particular attention to the registration requirements that will be discussed at the clinics, as there are special instructions for those grades.

The current State Director of Assessments - Ed Czerwinski is moving out of state

At the inservice, we regrettably learned that our own Dr. Ed will be moving out of state. Dr. Ed Czerwinski has served the South Texas soccer family for the past twenty-plus years, most recently as the current State Director of Assessment. We greatly appreciate his friendship and years of service, and wish him and family the very best.
