STSR announces two changes in the State Referee Committee.

Earle McCants, who has served many years as the Treasurer, takes over as the (longtime vacant) District 4A Representative. The Committee thanks Earle for his longtime leadership and service, and greatly appreciates that he is continuing to work with the referees in South Texas

The new STSR Treasurer is Hal Mechler of Houston. Hal is a US Soccer Instructor, Assignor and Referee, has served STSR as Area Director of Referee Instruction - Houston Central, and has been active at the local level as Director of Referee Development - Houston Youth Soccer Association and Director of Referee Development (former Treasurer)- Eclipse Soccer Club. When not doing soccer stuff, Hall is a CPA, and is the Sr Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Imperial Sugar Company. He has been married to Katie for 29 years, three children and two grandchildren
